Senior designer Kate Mazza believes that a happy life starts at home. She knows that curating a beautiful, functional, and well-edited space is key to achieving said home, and has spent the last six years honing her design skills to help others create their happy place.
From a young age, Kate was drawn to the creative, and knew that interior design fit her style. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in interior design. After college, she returned home to New York to earn a Master of Fine Arts with Honors in interior design from the New York School of Interior Design. Kate has worked for several notable high-end residential designers over the years, including designers on Elle Decor‘s “A-List” and New York Spaces‘s “Top 50 Designers.”
Her favorite designs are ones that authentically reflect the clients’ lives, whether that be through thoughtfully placing family antiques, displaying their art, or showcasing their favorite color.
“I got into interior design because I wanted to serve others. I knew from a young age that I wanted to do something creative, and interior design was a perfect fit. A happy life starts at home, and if your space is functional and beautiful, it can be life changing.”
In her spare time, Kate draws portraits, cooks, hangs out in NYC, and travels to DC to visit her twin sister, Erin.
