tips to help you organize your kitchen

October 7, 2013 by House of Funk

is your kitchen pure chaos?  if so, you’re not alone.  i mean, what can you do with the endless piles of ‘cooking stuff’?  take a look at some of these tips, and who knows, maybe you’ll find your kitchen’s new saving grace.

-create a designated stations based on your family’s needs

for instance, if your mornings are hectic, try to create a breakfast station.  keep all supplies in the same general location: coffee, cereals, tea, and all other essentials can live right above the toaster, coffee maker, and so on.  you might be able to make breakfast standing in one spot!

-store and organize snacks

instead of having boxes, bags, and ziplocks full of snacks all over the place in your pantry, add them all to glass containers to keep everything organized and to create a visual of how much you have left of each.  they will stay fresher and feel more streamlined.

-drawer dividers

it’s that simple.  don’t stack, mix, and tangle your utensils together in a drawer.  instead, grab an easy divider and separate by category.  done!

-vertical racks for baking sheets and roasting pans

grab a vertical dividing rack and place items that way vs. stacking them in the cabinet.  i know you hate pulling out the cookie sheet that has been jammed between a cake pan and a giant pan.  just think- those days can be over!

so, did you find any kitchen miracles today?  i think i did.
